I think that sometime all it takes is a little something to make mommies all around the world smile. And when I become a Mommie I hope my kid  can say something like this about me:

Mommie if you didn’t know how special you are to me, I hope this letter nails it.

I just had to let you know how proud I am to be a part of you

When I look in the mirror I see a piece of you in me

How ever so rare that small piece, helped to create and gave life to me

Your smile, kindness, and soft sweet voice encouraged me

Those big hugs and kisses, thoughtful memories of endearment,  your words of wisdom and inspiration

The lessons about life that you gave me, the Love you expressed weather I was right or wrong

All of these things help to mold me and drove me to be a better person

And although it didn’t cost you a thing

It’s still priceless to me

Mainly concentrating on makeup, as a “Visual Artist”,  I have the opportunity to play roles all across the board that have everything to do with image.  As I have observed in 2012 color has no boundaries, and or rules.  At least I think so!  I have been experimenting with color myself, mainly on the old smackers.  But also, with the kind of weather we have here in Atlanta it is hard to  choose on the wardrobe:  what to take away, what to add, how to make it pop, what colors do I want and need most this season to maximize my what I do have. One of my clients said to me “It is a full time job trying to find the right colors that fit you for the right season”, and I fully agree with her.  I will take on the job any day, wait a minute, that is my job, lol  .

But realistically Ladies and Gents, if color is what you desire, you must feel free to use all of the colors in the crayola box.  I say, “do what you feel be, an emotional dresser!”

Now for those on a tight budget, you can have a delightful trip to your local thrift store, it can be testy and rewarding all at the same time. Believe it or not you can also find some really cool thread in your local Walmart and Target.  Use what you got in the old closet first;  something bright with texture, throw on some fresh makeup with a bold bright color, like this white that “Emily Mitchell” is wearing now, some comfy,  cute shoes,  a care free hair-do  and presto your in business kids.

This season is wide open, fresh, and in full bloom. I was just checking out the new www.Allure.com magazine with Nicki Minaj on the cover , “love it”!  They have some really plush ideas to freshen up your whole look for the new Spring Season. I’m excited.

First come the wardrobe.  The fabrics are a collage of mint, neon green, highlighter yellow.  Throw in a few expected colors like beige, tan, camel, and last but everyone’s favorite, white. Now you are ready with a easy breezy wardrobe collection.

Let’s talk about the finger makeup; polish. The lacquer is fresh with a greener side of hues like; khaki, egg shell, peppermint, and turquoise. But you have favorites show up and show out, mostly in the families of orange, pink, and shades of reds. Instead of black I personally enjoy rocking the dark purples, navy blues and nudes too.

As far as the makeup goes we care totally fresh faced and full of lashes, with lip stains in various colors. Flawless dewy skin and soft rosy cheeks, very iridescent and playful. The hair is less formal and more carefree, in which in this case is my one of my favorite looks.  The hair can be seen in a variety of styles and cuts that fit everyone’s personal style and facial structure.

I am happy to see a new season emerging. Winter was a little indecisive lately – it was like having all four seasons in one (based in Atlanta). the weather has been a bit emotional lately.  From day to night, no layers to more layers,  raining one day and bright and shiny the next.  It’s been a marathon trying to keep up.

Although that was fun, my skin has been acting out-not always a good thing! I am doing a new skin regime to balance it out.  Always use what works for you but every now and again I like to give my skin a taste of something new.  I’m not afraid to switch it up, but not far from what works.   Here are the products that have refreshed my skin for the new year:

This winter season has been great! Both male and female fashions have been refreshing.

I especially love the makeup trends with the lips from electric and bright to dark and moody (I used satin black by www.makeupforever.com) The eyes were a true focal point from nude to colorful smokey eyes, paired with falsies. The hair has been hip, modern and a bit funky too. From sleek to messy ponytails and up dos, to blow outs and deconstructed curly fro’s with the part on the side.  I have so enjoy the individual styles that we all have expressed this winter season.  I wonder, what is Spring  going to bring us next?

This was a November to remember I have had such a great time this year spending time with my family, making new friends, working new assignments, going to new locations, it has all been swell. And, in doing so I have had the opportunity to work with some of the greatest creative people. And I look forward to working with many more for years to come. This is just the beautiful start to a never ending story.
